At 10:26 on January 3, 2019, the Chang'e-4 probe successfully landed in a preselected landing area near 177.6 degrees east longitude and 45.5 degrees south latitude on the far side of the Moon. It transmitted the world’s first close-up image of the lunar far side via the Queqiao relay satellite, unveiling the mystery of the ancient hidden side of the Moon.This mission achieved humanity’s first soft landing on the lunar far side and the first relay communication between the far side of the Moon and Earth, opening a new chapter in human lunar exploration.
