A RT ProductAt around 10:00 on April 16, 2022, the return capsule of the Shenzhou-13 manned spacecraft landed successfully at the Dongfeng Landing Site. Astronauts Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu returned safely and were in good condition. The crew worked and lived aboard the space station assembly for 183 days, setting a new record for the longest continuous in-orbit flight duration by Chinese astronauts. With this mission accomplished, the key technology verification phase of the Chinese Space Station has been completed, and the project will soon enter the in-orbit assembly and construction phase.

Compared with the Shenzhou-12 manned spacecraft, the Shenzhou-13 manned spacecraft adopted a rapid return mode. Without modifying hardware and software, the number of Earth orbits before return was reduced from 18 to 5, cutting the return time by nearly 20 hours.
